Panayota (Penny) Roumanis, M.D.
Dr. Panayota (Penny) Roumanis, a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist with Fellowship training in Breast and Body Imaging, is an expert in the use of multiple modalities in the evaluation of abdominal, pelvic and breast disorders.
She has many publications in the radiology, abdominal, and breast literature and has made several television appearances to discuss the latest advancements in medical imaging and improve patient care.
Dr. Roumanis completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where she devoted her time to Neurological and Cognitive Science. She also did research at Mott’s Children’s Hospital, affiliated with the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. After completing her medical school at NEOUCOM in Ohio, she went to Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn, MI for residency training in radiology.
She then completed a breast and body imaging fellowship at the University of California Irvine, Medical Center and is well-versed in all modalities and systems of radiology. Her desire is to treat each patient as she would her own family member and help to use the best imaging techniques available, to achieve the best care possible.
